I am looking for a network mapper that will serve as our live documentation of our network. secondary purpose is the ability to export portions to Visio for engineering design discussions and project work.
What I have is a large AT&T MPLS presence. So I need to be able to represent a CLOUD object that covers an CIDR block or some other criteria as needed.
My specific example is a US Cloud that we gave 10.23.4.0/22 to AT&T, for dolling out /30 point to point links for our remote sites. So what I would expect is the ability to define one or more clouds, and in this case say that the cloud called AT&T US is defined as any interface in the 10.23.4.0/22 CIDR block. Then of the 146 remote routers it find during the sweep of that range, it can link the interface that lives in that cloud range to that cloud object.
Sounds pretty specific, doesn't it? This is how RedSeal works, and I loved it. But at this company, I do not need a full security analysis tool, just a mapper. Would this be a feature request that would be useful for others? Or is there a hidden way to do this already in the tool?
