Who decides what goes in an official template?

Hello, as the title suggest I was just curious who(at solarwinds) decides what goes in a certain APM template?  What is that process?

 

I am putting together a mock map for a database meeting today, trying to get them onboard with APM monitoring for their stuff.  I am using the sql server 05-05 wmi, which is huge, and it just occurs to me I dont know what most of these are.  Hopefully they do, then I thought "they might ask who decided this is what we want monitored?".  And I totally understand you can add your own stuff and make your own templates.

The decision of what is included in an application template is one part customer demand and feedback, another key ingredient are the application template developers which consist of highly trained and experienced systems administrators with many years of experience managing and maintaining these applications.

More detailed information about what these monitors mean can be found in the template itself or in the Administrators guide section for each template (link below). The Expert Knowledge included as part of the template describes in detail what each component monitor represents, provides some meaningful background on the statistics collected as well as recommendations for thresholds in most cases.
