Can I configure alert for an external website if going down using NPM?

In our organisation we are using  Solarwinds NPM as the monitoring tool. Recently we came across a requirement for monitoring the status of a website, we just wanna configure an alert if the site goes down. The site is a public one, is there any option in Solar winds NPN?

After add node to monitor

open alert advanced >configuration alert> new> trigger condiiton set infomration see image. After to go trigger actions and set the configuration about you receive email when node  diferent states down.

Could you create an external node - with the website URL?  It would simple just return and ICMP response, but for acutall web services I think you need SAM product.
