I was curious if any of the Config Snippet functionality is available through the WebUI?
I really think it would be nice to have the ability to create, save, edit, and deploy config snippets from the WebUI. Is any of this currently possible?
Hi Everyone - here's another thread where there is a prioritization of features to be ported to the Web UI.

Good question!!! I have asked this question myself. In fact, I would like to go one step further.
How about making all features that are currently available from the "Server Client" and make them avail through the WebUi. Things like the "Job Creation", The builtin "Show" commands, The Mibs. Some good functionality available there.
Maybe if enough of us ask???
I agree - the server client is pretty feature rich, but requires me to give RDP access to the NPM/NCM/NTA polling engine that I have it running on.
It would be great to get the features Byron has mentioned within the WebUI, or would it even be possible to create a client version of the application that could be loaded on a separate server or the engineer's workstation that would emulate the server side application?
cdh hit the nail on the head, the problem is giving RDP access to people. For security porposes we have to restrict how many people have RDP access to our servers.
Having as much functionality available via the WebUI is most desirable with the assumption that there are permission controls available for it.
As a second option, having a client that can be ran on the desktop as cdh suggests like the the Engineer Toolset or Network Atlas would work as well (though less desirable than the WebUI in my opinion).
I agree, the WebUI would be preferable.
It seems that there may be some functions within the client that may not translate well to a web interface though...
On a similar note, I've been doing more and more with the "Execute script" functionality in the WebUI, and one additional feature there that would be really helpful would be a "Search" function when selecting nodes to execute the script on. Short of being able to use a CSV file (I know this was discussed in a different thread), or managing your node list through custom properties to create functional groups, it would be nice to just be able to search for a node or nodes by entering information into a search box and getting right to the devices you need to interact with.
Hi All--
I marked this for the PM to see.

Hi Byrona - is there something you're looking to do that you can't do execute script in the webUI? We definitely hear you on enriching the webUI with more functionality - our goal is to get the webUI as rich as possible over time.
Based on what you are saying I am assuming that executing a script via the webUI is pretty much the same as executing a config snippit against a node in the console assuming I used the same config snippit.
The main difference to me is that I don't have access to my set of saved config snippits via the webUI but I do in the console. In the webUI I would like to be able to maintain (configure, save and edit) a set of snippits like I can in the console.
