Hi all,
i have to monitor around 150 websites, they fall into around 7 different classes (i.e. for different parts of the business). they are all internet based, i.e. not intranet.
one of the classes contains around 40 websites, so i have created one template, and added 40 HTTP components to that template. i have done the rest for the other websites, so i have around 150 websites over 7 templates.
i have then assigned ALL of the templates to one dumb external node to get the monitoring working.
the thing is, i am getting outrageous response times on the websites, even up to 57000ms. I am wondering if this is something to do with the way APM does the polling cycle...
is there a best practise for doing this sort of thing? should i create 150 dumb nodes, and create a template for each website and assign each template to a different dump node, to cause APM to do the polling cycle differently?
