Network Atlas not true WYSIWYG

WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get

Network Atlas is layed out as if it is WYSIWYG, that is, how you lay out the icons and text is exactly how it displays within NPM. However, I keep running across text that is lined up within NA, but does not lineup when displayed in NPM. Here is one example:

What causes this and when will it be fixed?

In label is used center alignment by default. Change it to "Align Left" and you will get what you want.

While that works, it does not visually alter what you see in the NA layout phase. The same basic formatting visuals are used in many other products by other vendors (i.e. dots around text to show the text field dimensions). In those however, when the text is Center- or Right-justified, there is a visual space between the left dots and the text showing you that it is center- or right-justified. The fact that NA doesn't do this is leads to not actually seeing what you're going to get and more wasted time and frustration.

So the question still stands: if this is supposed to be WYSIWYG, when will this be fixed?

You are using variables in Network Atlas, so dimension of box will probably never be same in Atlas and web, because results of variable you are using can be for example "a" or "aaaaaaaaaa", so dimension of text box with label won't be static on web.

Yes, this is how alignment use to be working. You will "fix" right or center position by this, so left (or both) side will be changing according to text length (which is not static, because of variables)..

It's not just the variables though. I have added a Label field as a header to a list of nodes. The Label header field lines up with the Node name in Network Atlas. But on the actual map, it lines up with the Status Icon. This even with all fields in Left-Justify.
