OS hardening

For all of you govt. admins out there... Anyone know the effects of applying the STIIGS to a windows server 2003 Orion box. Are there any pitfalls/workarounds? Thanks.

From what I've seen, your real place for problems will be if you try to upgrade/fresh install or Solarwinds. I had a problem with the creation of the Component Services piece. I recommend you also be careful with the registry settings. Those are the hardest to back out. Those are my experiences from a Windows 2000 stand-point. I haven't heard of anyone installing on a 2003 box yet.
