APM for Sybase Servers

I am running SYBASE servers on unix and solaris and would like to monitor the performance of the database server by doing a SQL query into the the system and looking at how long the request takes to get services. Along with other parameters detecting exclusive locks etc is also importat to us.

Any clues ? Any one has a template to share?

You could create a template with one or more ODBC Database Monitors. Each monitor would execute a query and return a numeric value and a response time.

You'll need to have the SYBASE ODBC drivers installed on your Orion Server for this to work.
