OpenSearch plugin for Firefox

Allows you to search by node name from Firefox search bar.

1. Save file in the root of your web directory
2. Edit XML file and substitute out {YOUR SERVER} for the name/vip of your web server.
3. Add the folowing line after <title>SolarWinds Orion</title> in the \Orion\OrinMasterPage.Master file in your web root directory
   • <link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" title="Solarwinds Orion" href="http://{YOUR SERVER}/solarwindssearch.xml">
4. Be sure to substitute out {YOUR SERVER} for the name/vip of your web server.

 

Now users will be able to add the search to Firefox by clicking the drop down in the search bar and selecting Add "Solarwinds Orion"
