SQL 2000 monitoring available in APM?

I've read that support for SQL 2000 would end this year. Does this mean that APM can no longer monitor servers with SQL 2000 databases? Or did it mean that you could not run Orion on SQL 2000? Maybe both!

We still have several servers with 2000 DBs we'd like to monitor. Dont see templates available in APM - is that the answer to my question?

You cannot run the products on SQL 2000 but you can monitor SQL 2000 It is very basic monitoring for 2000. Use the SQL server Query Template.

I got "involid object sys.dm_os_performance_counters" after I use SQL Server Query Template to monitor SQL2000, It looks like sys.dm_os_performance_counters is the SQL 2005 object not for SQL 2000!

I am using APM 4.0.2, is it passible not support monitor SQL2000 anymore, or I can use others templates for monitor SQL2000?
