False Alarms -- Monitor showing as down/critical but all components are up

Hi --

I have 2 alarms in APM telling me that the Application is down displaying as red. When you hover over or look at the components they are all really up/green. One of them is a SQL User Experience and the other one is the IIS Template.

>For the SQL Query, I removed the thresholds via Edit Monitor and the alarm never cleared even though there are no thresholds to exceed.

>For IIS - all components are green but the app still displays as red under Applications with Problems

I checked all the polling engines and the last database sync are all 1 second ago.

Environment is Windows Server 2008, SolarWinds Orion Core 2011.1.2, APM 4.2.0, NPM 10.1.3, NTA 3.8.0, IVIM 1.1.2

Does anyone know what this could be?

You mention that the hover over show all the components up. Do you see the same thing when you expand the application and see all the components listed? If you see them all as up I recommend you open a ticket.

mcbridea, yes I saw the same thing -- the components were all green when you expand. I ended up deleting the monitor and from the server and adding them back. Not ideal since I lose historical data but if it happens again I'll open ticket. Thanks.
