Hi gus,

Looking for a quick reply to this hopefully.

We have just updated one of our clients platforms to Orion NPM v10.2.1.

 

With the previous version of Orion NPM the swdebugMaintenance file would be created in -

 

\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion\ - this is where the file would be created (D being the install location of Orion)

 

However, since the update it is now being created in the following location -

 

C:\Users\acoates\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent - this is where it should not be created.

 

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and if so, what is the resolution?

By default, log Database Maintenance log file should be located here - c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log

The path is defined in configuration file - c:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion\Database-Maint.exe.config

 

See text in bold:

If you are using this default value, it's possible that your system environment variable for ALLUSERSPROFILE is set incorrectly. It's possible to change the value in config file and save the file somewhere else if you need to do that.
