NPM Orion | Low Disk Alerts - Show name of Drive

I am trying to add the affected disk letter after where it says "Disk Space Low on"

Right now it just shows the name of the operating system

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Hi elevated-tech so if your not attached to that particular Alert I would suggest starting a new one from scratch.

Firstly as per the response from jpaluch there are some Out-of-Box alerts which you could copy and use as a template, but in essence, you need to do something like this:

1. Make sure you set the Trigger Condition to alert on "Volume"

2. If you want to just trigger on VM's you could set a Custom Property on the machines you want to Alert on and add it into this filter section.

3. This configuration is saying the drive must fall below 5% AND be less than 1GB (This is to exclude large drives alerting) - Customise these to your requirements, you could just have a percentage or a size, or you could make it an OR statement instead of AND.

Hi elevated-tech, as with most things SolarWinds there is more than one way to achieve your goal, but assuming you're using a Volume alert I prefer the FullName variable so that you can see the server name - disk name.

Disk Space Low on ${N=SwisEntity;M=FullName} - This will look something like "Disk Space Low on SERVERA-C:\ Label:OS 123456"

You can of course also use any of the following variables:

${N=SwisEntity;M=Caption}

${N=SwisEntity;M=Node.Caption}

${N=SwisEntity;M=DisplayName}

${N=SwisEntity;M=Node.DisplayName}

${N=SwisEntity;M=VolumeDescription}

${N=SwisEntity;M=FullName}

Thanks for the information! - Do you have any Idea why I get this when I try to test them in a simulated email?

Does it require a real alert to populate? it seems like only 3 and 5 are working (kinda just no info)

Sorry which ones didn’t work? Can you confirm in the Alert Trigger section this is a Volume alert?

When you ran the email simulate test did you select a volume to test with?

This is what the trigger condition is (maybe the condition is what is giving me the issue since it's custom, not setup by me orignally)

Maybe you can recommend a different trigger condition that could be better?
