Help with router monitoring

Per my supervisor's orders, I am trying to create an alert that will monitor all of our offsite gateway routers and alert us if they start experiencing issues with packet loss, CPU load, or Memory used. I am testing this on one router to make sure it works. So far I have built it both as picture below, with node name listed as a condition, then the variables listed seperately, and also the other way around with the variables listed first, then the node name. In either case, this is sending me alerts for every other node in our system EXCEPT the one listed. How is it triggering off nodes that I don't even tell it to monitor?

Hi,

You should change the first line "Trigger Alert when ANY" to "Trigger Alert when ALL" to mean that both conditions are required.

Ok, I can see how that makes sense for as the alert is built at the moment, but eventually I want it monitoring 20 additional routers. Won't changing it to ALL then require all of the routers to be having issues for it to alert me?

Correct. There are two ways to handle this:

1) Add another level -

Alert when ALL

Alert when ANY

[list of nodes]

Alert when ANY

[list of condtions]

2) Use custom properties -

Alert when ALL

[CustomProperty] is TRUE

Alert when ANY

[list of condtions]
