Impact of poll interval change

I would like to change my Default Node Statistics Poll Interval time from 10 minutes to 5 but I am concerned about the potential impact on polling completion. Will this have a huge impact on my server performance?

It depends really on the current load on the poller and the number of nodes / elements presently polled. If your poller is presently around 50% load, you should be fine. 90%? You'll likely start to have completion issues.

Well mine's at 21% so I should be good.

Changed to 5 minutes, polling rate jumped all the way to 22%. I think I'm good.
