Monitoring Log Files

I am trying to monitor a log file for a specific event but not one of the logs that show up under the Real Time Event Log Viewer. Is there a way I can add the log to that list or be able to monitor the log in a different way?

Is this an ASCII/Text Log file or just a different category in the Windows Event Log that doesn't appear in SAM's Windows Event Log Viewer?

This is a text log generate by one of our applications.

Have you tried using on the the following application templates depending if the application runs on Linux/Unix or Windows?

I think this is going to work the only thing that I need to figure out is if I would be able to put a wildcard in the path or a variable to change the date because the log life has the date appended to it.
