Dell harddrive monitoring via WMI

I've seen a few older threads regarding Dell's OpenManage failure to publish their drive status to WMI, but they were older

Has anyone come up with a solution to bring drive status monitoring on Dell's into Solarwinds, without dropping to SNMP?

This can be painfully done using the SNMP WMI Provider, but it does not map to SAM's native Hardware Health Monitoring. It would require creating your own WMI Monitors within an application template to query the WMI equivalents of the SNMP values.
