NOTE: Compatibility issue w/ Orion 9.0 SP2 and NCM integration module

We're working on a new build of the integration module, but in the meantime here's a description of the problem and temporary workaround.

Problem: There is a compatibility issue with Orion NPM 9.0 SP2 (SP1 works fine) and the NCM integration module. This causes Orion NPM node management to fail after NCM integration module install.

Workaround:

1. Download the SolarWinds.Common.dll file (from SP2):

ftp.solarwinds.net/.../5.0-SolarWinds.Common.zip

2. Using the file above, copy (overwrite) the SolarWinds.Common.dll file in the \Inetpub\SolarWinds\bin folder on your Orion NPM server. This must be done after the NCM integration module is installed.

I upgraded to NCM last night and loaded the integration module. I changed this file and the web site won't come up. I had to delete the file and use the old file to get it back up. See attached.

Was your Orion updated to SP2? The fix relates to an issue between the NCM module and Orion SP2. Users running the Orion 9.0 shouldn't see the Add node issue or if SP2 is applied after the NCM module. Another thing to try is to simply run the Orion SP2 update after the NCM module install. We are currently working toward correcting the issue.

FYI, I am running Orion 9.0 SP2 with Orion NCM 5.0 and this appears to have fixed the issue for me.
