Configure Per Monitor Polling Frequency

I know that since the release of APM v3.0 (I believe) there were changes made to the Polling Frequency settings. Essentially there was a change to move the Polling Frequency settings from the monitor itself to the template as a whole. My question is this. Is there still some way (hidden perhaps) to adjust the Polling Frequency of a specific APM monitor within a template? I'm running into an issue where the server that's being monitored is throwing an exception and the monitor is failing because there are two polls going just milliseconds apart from one another and the server can't service both of these requests simultaneously. The server doesn't have a problem servicing these requests individually. For instance separated by a few seconds, so if I could adjust the individual monitor within the template I'd be all set. I really don't want to create another monitor or template since that will really screw up my organizational flow for alerting and reporting.

you have to create separate template for those "more frequent" monitors. Frequency is set for whole template, you can't set it per monitor.

What monitor type is this? Peter described one brute force method to stagger the polls, but he added there might be a better way if he knew what component monitor type you're specifically having problems with.

The brute force staggering method is to stick non-conflicting component monitor between the conflicting monitors:

"Applications get loaded and ordered based on how SQL server decides to respond with the list of IDs. In my experience that should be insertion order.

1. Add a monitor that’s guaranteed to pass and really not do anything.

2. Delete one of the component monitors that’s causing the issue and add it back."

Did you ever find a solution to this? Specifically for me, there are a couple of drives where we need to monitor their perfmon stats more frequently because their variations throughout the polling cycle are too drastic. perfmon which does it every 15 seconds is showing numbers much different than Orion's. I've set the template to the default 5 minutes. I don't really need every perfmon poller to go at 1 minute or shorter, just a couple of stats for a couple drives.
