Best practices advice needed

I am trying to monitor QoS for our and Business Critical apps across our 6 global MPLS (Cisco) hubs.

All 6 MPLS are sending NTA flow data, but I want the ability to see all the business critical apps as a group, and/or only select certain apps from that group.

My current approach is to setup IP address groups, then filter within the Netflow views, but feel I am missing an easier way.

Is there a better way to organize and analyze this data?

Is there a way to Create a Group from an access group, or object group and import it into NTA.

How are other people monitoring global QoS flow data?

Currently on Platform 2017.3 SP3, NTA 4.2.3, NPM 12.2, NCM 7.7.

Will any of this configuration be lost, like the flow data, when I upgrade to latest NTA?

I think you're on the right track with the grouping you're doing, but I'm open to chatting with you about how we might make creating and using groups simpler and easier.  And I'm curious about what other folks are doing.

To answer your question specifically: You'll retain your configuration data - devices, groups, and so forth - but you will lose your existing flow data.  There's no migration of flow data from the FSDB to SQL.  So - flow data collection will begin again with a fresh database.
