Custom Property Assistance Please

Hello,

I created a new Application custom property called priority. It's set up similar to another one called assignment group. The problem is that the email alert shows ${N=SwisEntity;M=Application.CustomProperties.Priority} instead of the value, which in this case would be P3. The output in the variable is showing P3, so I'm not sure why it's emailing the variable name. The assignment group is providing the correct information. The trigger action is set to Component.

Are you sure the node has the field populated with the text P3?

I had something similar but I'm not sure it is your issue. You may want to check.

When you set up the alert you set it up as an 'Application' or a 'Component' alert you have to use the same type of variables within the alert.

See if the alerts is set up as a 'component' alert and then use a 'component' variable.

If it is set up as an 'Application' alert then use an Application variable.

I haven't had much luck mixing the two

The alert is set up as a component and the variable is from the Component's section as well. I have a different custom property called assignments and that populates the correct value. I'm not sure why this is not working. Thanks for the quick response.
