NCM Running after Logout

I RDP into my NCM server and login/start NCM where I manage Node inventory, run jobs, add nodes, etc..

When I logout of my RDP session, it exits NCM also... Does NCM still 'run' such as running routine jobs, policies, etc. ?

Or does the NCM login have to stay up/open for the system/services to operate ? I just upgraded to a new server in production environment, and don't have a direct console attach anymore.

Yes. As long as the NCM services are still running locally on the server and you've configured your jobs to use a different Windows account than your own, you should be fine. Easy way to test this is to schedule a job to occur in 5 minutes that just emails you the result of a report. Then, log out and see what happens.

Yes, works fine. Been on NCM5.1 one week now, and no issues. Issues with Web (Group reporting, exporting, etc.) I found on Thwack,, and see that later version enhancements will correct these. If not on the list, customized per Web-login.. just like NPM would be nice. Only lets' clients see what you want them to see.
