Hie peeps,
l am monitoring a linux farm and one of my boxes has been reported as rebooted by Solarwinds NPM events log.l checked on the server and uptime is 290 days.Whats exactly does NPM poll to check if the linux system has rebooted?
NPM monitors the sysUptime which is the length of time the SNMp agent has been running -- download my poller and alert for monitoring the hrSystemUptime which is what uptime(1) returns.
hrSystemUptime.UnDP
hrSystemReboot.AlertDefinition

Hi,
I'm trying to do this very thing and i have downloaded the UnDP and AlertDefinition you have linked above.
I imported the UnDP into the server without issue.
When i try to import the AlertDefinition i get an error "Alert import failed with error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". I'm looking for a fix to this error BUT it's not my install and i'm trying to reverse engineer what they did and how it's configured.
Could i persuade you to screen capture each screen so i can recreate the alert?
Many thanks if you can.
Ian
