Problems with Cisco Stack
FormerMember
Hello, I'm a new customer of Orion and just today tried adding a Cisco switch stack. In order for me to get MRTG to work properly, I had to append the stack number to the snmp string for each unit in the stack, but they all have the same IP address. For example, public@es0, public@es1, etc.
However, it looks like Orion gets angry when I try to add a 2nd node with the same IP address. Is there any way around this that anyone knows of, or am I going to have to assign a separate IP to each unit in the stack?

Are these 3750 series switches?

No, they're 3500XL's. They don't have the newer stackwise stuff that the 3750's do. They use the stack cables on the front that take up a gbic slot.

We use a unique IP address on each 3500XL with the GigaStack Connector and manage as Individual switches.

We also have 3750's which I can see all the ports on but would like to see the individual modules from a CPU/MEM and inventory viewpoint. Any Ideas would be great
Thanks,
