Change SAM database login information

I am in the process of evaluating SAM. I setup one of my database servers to monitor SQL and it keeps throwing an error "login failed for user. Reason: attempting to use an NT account name with SQL server authentication. Everything seems to be working correctly but I would like to fix this. problem is I cant seem to find where you change the login information that the application monitor uses to connect to the database.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What version of SAM are you currently evaluating, and how are you monitoring the SQL server? E.G. Was it an option listed when you discovered the node, or did you go to manage templates and manually assign it to the node?

its version 6.0 and It was an option when I searched the nodes for applications.

Do you know if the node is managed via SNMP or WMI? It sounds like the node is managed via WMI but the credentials being used to manage the node via WMI don't have adequate permissions to authenticate to the SQL server running on that server. To change the credentials being used, click on the AppInsight for SQL application from the "All Applications" resource on the Application Summary view to go to the AppInsight for SQL details view for that specific instance. Then click "Edit Application" in the top right of the view.

From the application editor you can select from existing credentials, define new credentials to use, and even test/validate those credentials.

Once you've provided the proper credentials and verified they work using the "Test" button, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes. The application should then begin polling properly after 5-10 minutes.
