How to Stop alert notifications

Okay, Have somewhat of an issue. Have an Engineer who setup monitoring and i recieve email alert notifications up the whazoo on desktop computers and other devices of which he is working on and rebooting. I have my own log in which appears to be of administration privledges but for the life of me this software isn't user friendly. I cannot find a way to stop or tweak these alerts from emailing me when a users desktop reboots. Very unneccessary. Please help.

You can enable or disable alerts on the WebUI by going to settings under Manage Alerts

You edit the alert by using the advanced alert manager. Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Alerting, Reporting and Mapping > Advanced Alert Manager on your Orion server.

When I'm working on any of my network gear, I would either unmange the node/s or schedule the node/s to be unmanged during a maintenance window for any devices the would be affected to cut down on false alerts.

Its sound like your engineer isn't properly planning his outages.

Curious if there is a way to just get the one alert for the same condition instead of multiple ones?

You can set up the important nodes in a service group and reference this group in your alert.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. If you are talking about getting just one alert when a branch office goes down, this can be accomplished with dependancies. For example, you can set up a group of nodes at the branch and make them depenent on the WAN interface of the router.
