Use Orion API to create IP SLA operations

We are planning the migration of a very large Solarwinds implementation from 10.3.1 to the current. The vendor has strongly recommended that we go down the path of fresh server builds with a new database. There is quite a lot of configuration in our current system that needs to be moved across to the new system so I have been working through developing a migration process.

I am trying to find out how we can use SWIS Powershell to create IP SLA operations. I haven't found anything helpful enough about this on here nor on the web in general. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Even better would be if someone could provide some working examples of SWIS powershell code for creating IP SLA operations

Fairly certain that there are no verbs for creating ip sla operations, hence the lack of info on the topic.

In cases like this I would probably re-create one of the objects by hand in the GUI, check the database to see what tables were impacted, compare that to what I had in the old database and develop some SQL scripts to re-create everything in the new db. If the IPSLA tables are basically unchanged it could be pretty easy, but that seems like a big jump so I imagine a lot may have changed between then and now.

I am already looking at using SQL inserts to build this. I can't test until next week unfortunately.

Assuming my tests are successful, if anyone is interested I will post up some details about how this was done.

Did you ever get this to work? I'd have some interest in it as well if you could share the details.
