Architecture with three servers database - solarwinds - poller

I have three win2008k servers and I  need a refrence on how to  have a database server  (and web console)  and solarwinds app and a poller  -  I have read some docs from Solarwinds but caused some confusion....  is there a recipe out there or pdf that can direct in this architecture ?
