'Specified Cast is not Valid'

I have currently got APM set up to test the logon for an account on one of my application servers, this seems to work for a while then goes into an Unknown state.

The status shows that 'Testing on Node xxxxxx: failed with 'Undefined'

Specified Cast is not valid

I have checked the log on manually and this works fine with the account I am using so why has it stopped working within APM?

Any ideas.

There is nothing obviously wrong in your settings. I suggest you to upgrade to APM 3.5 if possible and if problem persists, you should open a support ticket for this.

what version of APM do you have and which monitor do you use for this?

Currently we are using APM 3.0 and I use the 'HTTP Form Login Monitor'

Hello,

Error you mention is fixed in APM 3.5. However it still means that you have probably configured monitor in a wrong way because this message "Specified Cast is not valid" can occur only if monitor fails. What are you trying to monitor and how do you have your monitor set up?

I am just monitoring a web page and checking that I can log on, it actually works for a while without a problem then for no apparent reason goes into the 'Unknown' status. For example it has been working for 18hrs ok as I write this.

I would of expected if the page wasn't available that I would get an unavailable status. I checked yesterday while I was getting the 'Specified Cast is not Valid' and was able to access the url manually and logged on to the acount without a problem.

This is how I have the monitor set, if there is anything obviously wrong let me know.

FYI--if you are on active maintenance, you can upgrade to APM 3.5 for free through your customer portal.
