APM: graph of CPU usage by a single process

I am new to using an eval version of APM and hoping this is an easily answered question. I'm possibly just looking to be pointed in the right direction, rather than something specific and detailed.

I am monitoring a few Windows servers and have a Windows Server 2003-2008 application monitor successfully gathering statistics. I would like to be able to see an over-time graph of something like w3wp.exe's CPU and/or memory usage. Where would I be looking to start tinkering with such graphs?

Also, it might be enough to just be able to dump out the raw data and I can make graphs on my own. Even just some terms to search for would be nice!

I don't know if any of the existing application monitor templates for IIS in the Content Exchange area include a component monitor for w3wp.exe. If not, you can certainly add it yourself using any one of many methods made available to you by APM.

Using the Application Discovery wizard, you can have application monitors automatically assigned to the node based on the information gathered.
Using the wizard to Find Processes, Services and Performance Counters that you are specifically interested in.
Manually create your application monitor template.

Since you know what specific process you'd like to monitor, it seems like option 2 might be your best fit. It's covered under Creating New Templates in the APM admin guide.

Once the application monitor template is created and assigned to your node, the CPU and memory utilization of the w3wp.exe process will be monitored. After a period of time, the graph will display the historical values of those stats.

I'm pretty sure I already have monitors attached, I just don't know where to click to actually spit out a graph of the CPU usage of a specific process over time.

Actually, give me a bit and I'll update this. Since this is just an eval install with a few of us playing in it, I think we have two app monitors that have the same name and only one is actually working (yay user error!). Following your tip to do a app discovery scan may properly get this assigned.
