Schedule an Alert to trigger daily

I am trying to figure out a solution to trigger an alert at the same time daily.

I need to send an SNMP trap daily to test our alarm system integration and auto-ticketing system of a 3rd party.

The SNMP trap needs to follow the same format as naturally generated alert traps so that their auto-ticketing system responds.

The following thread was trying to do something along the same lines and I have ran into some of the same problems:

I have tried triggering and resetting on the same criteria with a time delay on the reset without success. No traps are generated in this case.

Using the reset actions instead of trigger actions is something suggested in the related thread. No traps were generated this way either.

Looking for any suggestions.

Create an alert with an always true condition like Node Status equal to up. Restrict the time of day so it only fires once a day then add the trap action. No need to reset. You can add text into the trap stating that it is a test trap.
