Active Alerts

Does anyone know

1) why there is a "current value" field and does this ever get populated as i have never see it get populated and if not, can we hide it?

2) The Network Device field, when it alerts on items such as Fixed volumes, where it has a serial number to abbreviate this with say "S\N" and maybe just change how things are displayed in this field?

Is this screen shot taken from Home-->Alerts Page on the GUI?Which version of Orion NPM is this?

Just figured out,the screen shot is coming from Orion Summary page.Specifically under active Alerts picked up from the customize page option.Most importantly,I don't see any option in the GUI and Advanced Alert Manger to really make any changes.Will look for a work around and get back.

Here are the answers.

1."Current value" is a property of Basic Alerts.For Advanced Alerts ,there is no "Current Value",so nothing gets displayed there.Really cant do much to hide it.

2. The string displayed in the Network Device field is the caption of the volume.You can edit this value(on the Edit volume page).
