GDPR - Customer MAC addresses

Hi All,

We give our customers wifi when they book into our apartments, Solarwinds tracks the users on the controllers and we can see the MAC addresses. Security has asked if we can remove the MAC address information from the data we collect? Does anyone know how to do this... i'm accessing the wireless information here...

If anyone knows how to stop harvesting this data then please let me know?

With GDPR, it is crucial of informing people about capturing, storing, and using their data. However, I wonder why Security would want to not know the MAC information if someone if connecting to your network, even if is a guest network. I would assume the acceptance information for the Client to join the network would need to be adjusted to inform them that the network is monitored and their device details are being captured. If they don't want to have their details monitored, then they can opt out of joining the Wi-Fi.
