Need to create an alert when a single process instance memory utilisation reached 800mb

i need to monitor a process which having 4 instances and need to alert when a single process instance memory utilisation reached 800mb but with SAM we can put threshold for sum of all the instance only i need to monitor all the individual instance memory utilisation.

Can you give us a screenshot of the processes you are trying to monitor?

You can use the command line filters in your SAM template to specify each instance of the process. You would add the same component in 3x and add whatever args you need to the command line filter to specifically track each instance separately.

Thanks for the advise but i am newbie so can you tell me what exactly i need to use in command line filter is that the string "-instance1" ,for few servers there are 4 instances and few there are only 3 instances if i created 4 components in application template separated by instance and assigned to all the servers , if a server having only 3 instances it will trigger alert like "instance 4 is not found" ?

I wouldn't know the command line arguments for your processes, but you can see them if you use the process explorer on your server, I think you have to add the column if you haven't done that before. And yes you will need to either create two templates or you would need to disable the 4th process on any instances where it does not exist.

yes find that there is a column for command line in task manager in that you referring to as instance?

if so does it vary with server or same?

if varies with server we can't create monitoring it will throw error like instance not found right?

You will need to check with your application and it's args, i have worked with places where we could use a template for all servers in a cluster because the processes were effectively the same, other times we have had to build templates for each server.

Thanks for the info but for me command line field is not unique they using same is there any other approach to proceed this on at application template level
