Alert for a significant change

Hi,

I wish to set a new alert that will send an email when a specific UnDP value has change significantly. This UnDP value is an integer that indicates the mail delivery queue of a Lotus Domino Server. I can easilly display a graphic representation of this mail queue in time, but I'm not able to set an alert which will indicate that this mail queue has grown by 50% or by 500 messages during last hour.

The alerting features seems to only consider the monitor actual state, but does not compute variation. Is there another way t do it. Otherwise can we do it with a custom SQL alert?

If you perform a search on the terms "alert delta", you'll see several threads asking about variations of this same theme: alerting based the difference between the current value and previous value. Whether it's for traffic stats, volume usage or UnDP poller, you can definitely see the value of something like in numerous scenarios.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, this is not currently possible. Hopefully, SolarWinds will consider this as a feature request and place it on the roadmap for implementation.
