Had a weird problem over the weekend...we have APM monitors set up to monitor web content (HTTPS monitor)...we had all of them go into "unknown" mode...and the strange thing is that in the advanced alert I have, I have it check for the APM monitor name and it's status of "down"...and I got pages for 'unknown"...
I guess the first question is what the heck causes an 'unknown' condition in the APM HTTPS monitor world?...second, why do I get a page when I have the alert set for "down" when it is "unknown"?
An update...found that we had a PVC circuit problem...the reversion was on a slow frame line, so the connection time was in the seconds...might this cause the unknown state?..
