Email with link to URL alert not accessible

Question

Hi,

Please advise if there is any way of configuring an alert so that when a node is in warning state and email gets sent with the URL link. I have currently set this up however the link does not work when clicked on. This in part maybe due to the orion server being on a local network but how do I set it up so that the URL can be accessed from a public IP?

Thanks for your suggestion, I have never used Net Motion before. Will check it out and see how that goes.

There are 2 things you can do.  Give your Orion Server a Public IP address from your company's pool, NAT it thru your Internet Connection to the outside world.  (I don't like this option)

Set up a VPN Client on your phone or mobile device or laptop to connect to your internal network.

My mobile units use NetMotion.  I threw a NetMotion client on my phone and was amazed - I can do anything from my Android Phone that I can do from my desktop.

I am sure that there are other options.   There are always 8 ways to skin a cat!
