Custom alerts for different nodes

We have a one Node that is in another country and is always setting off an alert for "High Response Time". The connect we have is best we are going to get in that region so we want to change the threshold to 300 ms. I am not sure how to set up this for just one node and not the global policy. After poking around for a bit I realized I am out of my depth. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You could set up a custom property called country then copy the alert and add country as one of the alert variables that need to be matched.

clownbootz There are various ways to accomplish this, depending on how you have your alerts built out. As bobmarley said, you could filter by a custom property within the alert, building out various similar alerts for different groups. If your alerts trigger upon a threshold breach, then you could change the threshold(s) for the specific node(s) in question, overriding the global values.

Just to clarify. Bob is saying to create a custom group for just the node(s) in question and assign them to a new set of alerts? And you are saying that I can edit the threshold of the the alerts per node?

There is only one node that needs to be toned down as it is setting off at 200ms even though the general threshold is set warn at 500 and go critical at 1k.

I was able to go into a node and change the the times shown in your picture above. It still triggers an alert saying the average response time went over 200ms. At 1st i just doubled average baseline and then I set 100 over and it still triggered. Oddly enough when I go into Settings->Threshold->Orion General Thresholds the response time is set to 1k critical and 500 warning. I am not able to find where the average response time comes into play as both of those numbers are much higher then my custom settings. There has to be a place to set custom average response time and just response time in general. Any help would be appreciated.
