RPC Requests failed (%) for Exchange 2010 Mailbox Role Counters (Advanced)

I have recently installed Solar Winds Server and Application Monitor with the primary focus of our Exchange 2010 server farm. On all of my mailbox servers, the counter for RPC Requests Failed (%) indicates critical. The only information I have been able to find is that the should be 0 at all times except for a single technet article indicating it should be less than 1. What I can't seem to find are the failed connections and how to fix them. Does anyone have any ideas where to start troubleshooting this?

The "less than 1" is the correct accepted value. The template triggers a critical alert at anything above 0. My Exchange server was returning a rate of 0.08% which was enough to trigger the critical alert.

I modified the template so that it only alerted when exceeding "1".

This usually indicates an I/O bottleneck somewhere. What do your disk queue lengths look like? Memory and CPU stats?

I did not have the disk counters active so this is just from this morning which should be a typical representation of my normal load. Things go crazy during my backup window, but there is minimal user activity at that time.

Disk Stats:

Min	Max	Average
0.052272625	0.336778373	0.140945479

Memory is 78%

CPU is 3%

Yes, I agree. Zero is the accepted value, but I have never seen that in reality.

I have adjusted the the template to use less than 1. Thanks for the help. I am glad to see that other systems are showing similar rates an my numbers are not abnormal.
