Last configuration change at " time " date by " userlogin " - Confusing

Everytime a user logs in a switch and makes a change the change report shows this

BEFORE AFTER

! Last configuration change at 11:10:34 PDT Thu May 21 2009 by rsayakhom	! Last configuration change at 07:29:21 PDT Wed May 27 2009 by rartau
! NVRAM config last updated at 11:13:11 PDT Thu May 21 2009 by rsayakhom

Why does it always show Me as the BEFORE and the user that actually made the change as the AFTER?

I was out the entire week and for the change report to show that I even did anything is a little confusing to me and anyone looking at this change report

I need to understand why this would happen or why the report would show my name as the before change

You need to update your comparison critera in the client application (File > Comparison Criteria) and ensure to check the boxes next to the following exclusion criteria:

^! Last

^! NVRAM

We are having the same problem. I have both of those lines excluded in RegEx criteria. Anything else I need to enable?

You can also try adding two new comparison criterias. These regex should handle any whitespaces between your key words.

^[ \t\r\n\v\f]*![ \t\r\n\v\f]*Last

^[ \t\r\n\v\f]*![ \t\r\n\v\f]*NVRAM
