What functionality is lost when a demo license expires?

We recently purchased LEM for a customer environment and I have been using a downloaded demo license for testing and was planning to use it for training as well; however, it has expired.

I am curious, what functionality to I loose when my demo license expires?

Hey, Byron.

When the LEM eval license expires, it stops collecting and processing data. In other words, if you have a device logging to the LEM appliance, its data won't get normalized and you won't see it in the console. Similarly, if you have normalized data coming to the LEM appliance from an agent, the data won't get processed for storage, search, or display.

I don't suppose you have a license like the demo license that doesn't expire that I can run for a few (5ish) nodes? While we have purchased the product, it would be nice to have a small environment for testing/training.

I have submitted a feature request for this HERE across the entire SolarWinds product line.

As with all other products, we don't have this for LEM either. It's the evaluation license or a purchased license, nothing for test/dev right yet. Thanks for filing the feature request, though. This has come up before.

Thanks for the follow-up. It's the answer I expected but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Hopefully there is enough support behind the feature request that it is eventually considered.

its a fact that it stops collecting, but what happens to the data already collected and showing on the lem console, can it be manipulated?
