NetApp undp Alerts

Hello - I have a undp poller for percent utilized for each volume on my netapps. When attempting to write a custom alert I discovered an issue. I don't want to issue any alerts for the aggregates as they will always be close to 100%. How can I check the volume name before I alert? I cannot see it as a variable in the cusom poller. Using mib 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6 - VolumePercentCapacity.

Hi,

I raised this as a feature request and wondered if there was any more news on this, as the ability to use the Labels from UnDP's within alerts applies across many custom polling implementations.

We had SolarWinds Engineers work with us for a few weeks to create us a windows script that checks the size of the cifs shares for us.

here is the main script. Just copy it into the Scritp Body:

this line goes in the scrpt arguments section of the "Windows Script"

${IP} ${USER} ${PASSWORD} NAME_OF_CIFS_SHARE$

You will have to add credentials that have read access to the shares. Like a netapp admin account.

If I am not mistaken this data is tabular and therefore stored as such in Orion. What you should be able to do is configure the alerts to only look at specific rows by specifying the RowID in the alert. The downside of this is that you will need to do some reverse engineering to find out which RowID's you wish to either exclude or include as part of the alert; the upside is once you have it setup it should work well.
