How to monitor if a node can connect to the internet

I need to setup a monitor to test if a node can connect to the internet.  Then create a report listing the node's connect to internet availability.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I have NPM, SAM, NTA, and VoIP and WAN Quality manager.

Hello,

One way is to use the VoIP Quality manager that you have installed.  The requirement here is the node has to be IPSLA capable.  Just set up an IPSLA operation for HTTP and link it to a web site.  (google.com) or something that is pretty stable.  You  may also be able to use Internet DNS or ICMP for a network address.
