Variables not working in every Email

There is an alert setup to tell us when a Cisco Interface goes down. The problem is the variable ${caption} does not show the proper information every time. Can any one tell why this is happening?

Alert: ${caption} on ${NodeName} is ${Status}

 

Comments:${Node.comments}

IP Address: ${Node.IP_Address}

 

The location of this ${Node.MachineType} is ${Node.city}, ${Node.State}

 

Contact: ${Node.Technical_Contact}

Telephone: ${Node.Technical_Phone}

I suggest the following:

1. Add to the alert the following:

Interface.Caption - ${Interfaces.Caption}

Caption - ${Caption)

InterfaceName - ${Interfaces.InterfaceName}

FullName - ${Interfaces.FullName}

This will show what variables are being populated and with what information.

2. Confirm in the database (Use SQL Studio or Orion Database Manager) to look in the Interfaces table to determine if the data exists in the Caption column, as well as the others above if still getting inconsistent output.
