Hi all,
I am trying to install Patch manager on our domain WSUS server and am running into an issue. The install goes smoothly and I choose the option to select my own SQL server (as one is already setup on the server). Then it goes into the Configuration Wizard and I select the default settings. Once it gets to the "Patch Manager Local Credentials Setup" screen I choose a local administrator account for the server like the setup asks for and it pops up with the following error box: "Local Account Validation failed! 'xxx_local_account' is not a member of local Administrators group."
The xxx_local_account is in the "Administrators" group on the server. I have tried creating a new account and adding it to the "Administrators" group on the server as well as using a network account and adding it to the "Administrators" group. I tried different variants of the domain and local computer names in the user name field but nothing seems to be working. I made sure the passwords used were correct. I am also running the installer using the local administrator account per the installation guide provided by Solar Winds.
I have uninstalled the patch manager software and reinstalled it with the same results.
Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?
