Hi guys,
I just started evaluating LEM.
Has anyone configured LEM to monitor mySQL? Is there specific documentation I can refer to, on how to monitor the errors that are generated by mySQL?
Thank you,
Vonny
It appears that a lot of mySQL events are written to the Windows Application log, according to this:
MySQL :: MySQL 5.0 Reference Manual :: 5.2.1 The Error Log
What platform are you running mySQL on? Have you got a hostname.err file?
I don't seem to have any application specific connectors for mySQL at this time, but if you have log samples from the Windows logs and/or mySQL log files, you could put in a New Connector Request with support.
Hi curtisi,
Our mySQL is running on Win Server 2008 R2.
We do have .err file, which is the mySQL log. Since we haven't purchased the license yet, is it possible to request a new connector?
Thanks
You can put in a request in the Feature Request section of THWACK!

If you want to attach a sample log, I can run tests on it to see if any existing connector might work.
Silly question, how do I attach a file here? *found it*
Attached is the snippet of error log.
