Switch Port Mapper - Bridge MIB

I am using switch port mapper 10 and trying to map a Nortel 8600 core switch but keep getting the error "ip does not support the bridge mib". Any assistance would be appreciated.

have you tried turning off GetBulk in Switch Port Mapper? Go to the gadget settings, and on the Port Map Settings tab, uncheck "Use GetBulk". Then try again.

I wonder if you can you run a MIB Walk (from Engineer's Toolset) against the device?

This might be a timeout: did you increase the timeouts to maximum?

Hi,

Thanks for reponding. I can run the MIB walk but I do get a timeout after a while. I have increased the timeout but the error come almost instantly almost as though it never even tried to contact the switch

A Wireshark Packet capture would the next I'd suggest logging a ticket on this.
