Adv. Alert for Down Node

I have configured an alert to send an email when a node is down; however, the only issue is; I will get an email for every interface on the node.

Alert is configured as follows:

Type of Property to Monitor: Interface

Node Status is equal to Down

Why am I getting an email for every interface on this node?

You have mixed element types - interfaces and nodes. What do you want to accomplish?

I want to have an alert when the node is down. When i select property to monitor: Node; i dont have the option for Node Status is equal to Down.

I'd like an alert for when a node is down.

Do you see this out of the box alert in your advanced alert screen? You should be able to use that one as is. Just make sure it is enabled.

That is the one that I am using; however, I get a multiple emails for the same node being down. It will open an alert for each interface on the device.
