RHEL 4.0 snmpd.con

Can someone help me out with a snmpd.conf file? I need to monitor cpu, memory, i/o, and disk space on a redhat es 4.0 server. I can get it working on redhat es 3.0, but for some reason not on 4.0. After the initial poll, the agent stops responding to Network Performance Monitor and has to be restarted.

What version of the daemon are you running on the two Redhat servers?

The net-snmp version is the same, 5.1.2-11.

I've found the one difference on the two boxes, one has kernel 2.6.9-42.0.0.1.ELsmp (working), the other is 2.6.9-5.ELsmp (not working).

When you say "agent", is there a SolarWinds agent I should install?

I was referring to the snmpd daemon actually, not an agent.

I'll see if I can find anything on this for you.

If you are using RHEL4, there are certain versions of net-snmp that do this and only with Solarwinds. It's a documented bug - let me see if I can find more information, as I ran into this same issue.
