I'm trying to set up Real-Time Change Control alerts. The online docs show the clip below. However, There is no option to Run this program as administrator, nor is there a Privilege Level section. I'm using Windows 2003.
To grant Administrator access to the SolarWinds Syslog Server and Trap Server:
1. Navigate to the location where SolarWinds NCM software is installed. The default installation path is C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management.
2. Right click NCMSyslogService in the right pane and select Properties.
3. Select the Compatibility tab.
4. Click Run this program as an administrator in Privilege Level, click Apply, then click OK.
5. Right click NCMTrapService in the right pane and select Properties
6. Click the Compatibility tab
7. Click Run this program as an administrator in Privilege Level, click Apply, and then click OK.
I have my alerts setup and I added "change the color of this trap" as a general test and the color works, but I'm not getting notified of changes.
I see entries in the RTN.log that say "Internal job error: Permission denied"
